We are looking for a Property Assistant & Cleaner to join our team to support the day-to-day operations of our guests, contractors and general operations of our short term rental business.
Property Assistant & Cleaner responsibilities include reporting any issues or concerns regarding buildings to the property manager, perform cleaning and inspections of rooms, assist with upkeep of property, managing & hiring back-up cleaners when necessary, and operational tasks like creating manual reservations.
This position will be based in Rockford, Michigan with travel to Belding, Michigan.
Responsibilities Property Management:
Support the regional property manager in overseeing day-to-day operations of our short-term rental business.
Assist with guest services by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive guest experience.
Conduct regular property inspections to maintain high standards of cleanliness, functionality, and safety.
Coordinate maintenance and repairs with contractors to promptly address any issues that arise.
Assist with managing reservations, including creating manual reservations, modifying bookings, and handling cancellations.
Collaborate with the regional property manager to develop and implement operational procedures and policies.
Handle check-in and check-out processes, ensuring a smooth transition for guests.
Preparation of property listings including but not limited to; cleaning, organization, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
Administrative Support:
Respond to emails, guest messages and phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and providing information to guests and owners.
Assist with maintaining property listings and ensuring accurate and up-to-date information across various platforms.
Cleaning:
Cleanings will be between 10-4, 7 days/week.
The applicant must have a smartphone to view schedules and have a driver's license with an insured vehicle.
Each job will require extensive cleaning to provide a clean and comfortable environment for our next client.
Time spent in each unit will usually be 2-6 hours.

Proven work experience in property management or a related field.
Strong knowledge of property management principles, industry standards, and regulations.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with guests, contractors, and team members.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Working Hours and Availability:
This position requires availability from Monday to Friday, with weekend availability and on-call responsibilities to ensure smooth property operations and guest satisfaction.
This position would start off as part-time and would transition into full-time with company benefits and time-off policies.
