The Senior Corporate Counsel will be working with the Associate General Counsel with oversight from the General Counsel, the Senior Corporate Counsel will provide core legal support across the entire legal department, with an emphasis on labor and employment and litigation support. Primary Duties Provide advice and counseling on the legal aspects of the Company's domestic and international employment work, including with respect to employee relations, separations, leave and disability issues, and internal investigations. Litigation management, including selecting and overseeing external counsel, responding to discovery requests, and collaboration with business leaders on strategy & settlement approval. Review and negotiate commercial contracts, liaising directly with various Company functions. Work with the in-house legal team on managing the Company's global compliance program, including on employment issues, employee training, product safety, consumer protection, information and data security, and global anti-corruption initiatives. Work with the in-house legal team on commercial business development and special projects, including real estate, corporate finance, and M&A activity. Performs duties consistent with the Company's AAP/EEO goals and policies Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school, with a strong academic background Licensed in good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. state. 7-10 years of broad-based, legal experience; must have law firm experience; in-house experience a plus. Experience in employment and litigation preferred. Knowledge of employment law and/or litigation management a plus. Good business acumen and the ability to fully understand business objectives and priorities. Ability to operate outside of core-skilled areas. Highly self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented. Excellent written communication and presentation skills. Collaborates with others and throughout the organization. Manages and prioritizes multiple requests in a very fast-paced environment; moving with pace and urgency of the business. Highest integrity, accountability and ethical standards. Passionate, proactive and highly motivated self-starter. Willingness and ability to directly perform legal work when possible and to efficiently manage work through outside counsel when appropriate. WORKING CONDITIONS Fast-paced, but casual, environment. Direct interaction with General Counsel and senior management. Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
